Villa Melai lies in a rural setting down a quiet country lane just about a kilometre from the little village of Orentano and only 15 kilometres south of the beautiful walled town of Lucca - one of the most famous places in Tuscany. This is an excellent opportunity to stay in a well-placed location whilst being away from busy tourist centres and yet all the main places in the region are easily accessible by road or train. Florence is less than an hour's drive away and Viareggio on the coast is only 25 kilometres to the west.
